Movie Night | Monday, November 25 | 5 pm | Bldg 825 |”Toy Story 4″ (G) The Eglin Library is hosting a family-friendly Movie Night showing of Disney•Pixar’s “Toy Story 4” (rated G). All ages are welcome; food and drinks are allowed. Admission is FREE and open to everyone with base access. Caregiver must remain in the facility.

Make and Take Turkey Craft | Tuesday, November 26 | 12-5 pm | Bldg 825 Gear up for Thanksgiving with a “make-and-take” Turkey Craft at the Eglin Library. Art supplies and instruction will be provided. All ages are invited to stop in and get crafty! Caregiver must remain in the facility. Library events are free for base personnel and families.

Puzzles and Pretzels | Wednesday, November 27 | 9 am -5 pm | Bldg 825 The Eglin Library invites all ages to stop in any time on “Puzzles & Pretzels” day! Play with puzzles and munch on pretzels … that’s really all there is to it. Take a break and enjoy a snack time of fun with family and friends. Caregiver must remain in the facility. Harry Potter Yule Ball | Friday, December 13 | 5-7 pm | Bldg 825
You’re invited to a Harry Potter-themed “Yule Ball”. Stop in for a spell to enjoy holiday games, crafts, music, food, and plenty of wizarding fun! Costumes are highly encouraged for the occasion. The Eglin Library needs your magical help with the Harry Potter Yule Ball on Dec. 13 from 5-7 p.m. Costumes are encouraged as you work with potions, wands, and house sorting. The Eglin Library is hosting a Holiday Safari with Animal Tales — an interactive, entertaining, and ed-ZOO-cational experience for all ages. Come visit with a variety of exotic animals from across the globe, and be ready to get up-close and personal! Caregiver must remain in the facility. STEM Saturday Easy Science Experiments | Saturday, January 11 | 11 am – 1 pm |Bldg 825 Join the library for some fun and exciting hands-on STEM activities! Designed for ages 5-12. “All About the 80’s” Trivia Night | January 13 | 5:30 pm – 7 pm | Bldg 825 Arrive early to choose your team name. Up to 5 players per team are allowed. Food and drinks encouraged! No registration required. Library events are free for base personnel and families.

Computers Open for Test Prep | Every Wednesday | 9 am-Noon | Bldg 825 Several computer stations will be reserved at the library every Wednesday for practice testing utilizing the EBSCO LearningExpress suite for DoD Test Prep.

United Through Reading: The Eglin Library has a fantastic new resource for military families. We’ve partnering with United Through Reading to help deployed members connect with their families through recorded bedtime stories. Sign up to make a recording at the Eglin Library of a book from the United Through Reading collection. Library staff will assist you in making a private recording and will email you the finished video. Register by calling 850-882-9308, or emailing

Tech Basics The library offers one-on-one Tech Basic sessions covering these skills: library catalog and online resources, downloading or streaming the library’s ebooks, audiobooks, and magazines, and internet searching. Sessions take place Wednesday afternoons and Friday mornings. Please check the event calendar for upcoming sessions or call 882-9309. Walk ins welcome.

Research Assistance Offered If you are returning to school, the library offers assistance with the use of research databases. We are available to walk you through the databases offered by the Air Force and by your school. One-on-one sessions are available and classes are welcome also. Walk-ins welcome!
