Visit the Eglin Library for some fun and interactive learning on STEM Saturday! Get hands-on with practical concepts of science, technology, engineering, and math. Activities this month are designed for ages 5 to 12 to learn more about recycling, upcycling, what it means to “go green” and more. Admission is FREE! How Do Bees Talk To Each Other | Monday, March 16 | 10 am Did you know, honey bees have two ways to communicate information about food sources — one chemical, the other choreographic? The Eglin Library is hosting a special presentation and craft all about bees, with guest speaker Jennifer Barden from the University of Florida IFAS. Paper Airplane Flying | Wednesday, March 18 | 11 am You’re invited to the Eglin Library for some Spring Break fun making paper airplanes with special guest Ken Blackburn, a paper airplane pioneer and Guinness World Record holder! See amazing demonstrations and learn folding techniques to create your own paper aircraft. Event is designed for ages 5 and older. Admission is FREE with no sign-up required. Computers Open for Test Prep | Every Wednesday | 9 am-Noon | Bldg 825 Several computer stations will be reserved at the library every Wednesday for practice testing utilizing the EBSCO LearningExpress suite for DoD Test Prep.

- Resources for military transition to civilian careers

United Through Reading: The Eglin Library has a fantastic new resource for military families. We’ve partnering with United Through Reading to help deployed members connect with their families through recorded bedtime stories. Sign up to make a recording at the Eglin Library of a book from the United Through Reading collection. Library staff will assist you in making a private recording and will email you the finished video. Register by calling 850-882-9308, or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Tech Basics The library offers one-on-one Tech Basic sessions covering these skills: library catalog and online resources, downloading or streaming the library’s ebooks, audiobooks, and magazines, and internet searching. Sessions take place Wednesday afternoons and Friday mornings. Please check the event calendar for upcoming sessions or call 882-9309. Walk ins welcome.
Research Assistance Offered If you are returning to school, the library offers assistance with the use of research databases. We are available to walk you through the databases offered by the Air Force and by your school. One-on-one sessions are available and classes are welcome also. Walk-ins welcome!
