HSU Educational Foundation STEM Program
Ever wondered what makes opposites attract? Does the thought of your breakfast cereal being fortified with iron make you feel a little heavy? Join us as the HSU Educational Foundation visits the Eglin Digital Library for a family science event while we explore magnetism and the science behind it. The Game Changers Squad empowers students through experimentation and hands-on interactive learning. This family program will be held on November 3 from 1:00-3:00 PM in Bldg 825. The library will host STEM Stations Monday, November 19 from 10 am – 2 pm. Developed for ages 5+, we will have KEVA Planks, K’NEX Building Sets, LEGOs, and more! Free program with no registration required. Bldg 825.
The library offers one-on-one Tech Basic sessions covering these skills: library catalog and online resources, downloading or streaming the library’s ebooks, audiobooks, and magazines, and internet searching. Sessions take place Wednesday afternoons and Friday mornings. Please check the event calendar for upcoming sessions or call 882-9309. Walk ins welcome.
Research Assistance Offered
If you are returning to school, the library offers assistance with the use of research databases. We are available by appointment to walk you through the databases offered by the Air Force and by your school. One-on-one sessions are available and classes are welcome also.
